Friday Favorites

Thought I'd give a run down on Friday of things I'm loving right now.

Online shopping. Hands down, the best freaking thing ever. I have even started ordering household items like toiletpaper and paper towels from Amazon. Good prices and you can usually get free shipping AND, it is delivered right to your door step! That's service.

Back in the day before Mr. Miser, I was a huge bargain shopper and would go to the store at least twice a week. Now, I'm lucky to make it twice a month and most my coupons are usually expired by time I get around to using them. Safe to say I'm all about convenience now, but I'm still cheap so I want a good price!

I recently found GroopDealz and have added it to my list of favorite online shopping websites. Super awesome delas on way cute jewelry. I went a litte nuts at first, but coming home to this in the mailbox made it kind of feel like Christmas.

I got these gorg earrings and bracelets, earrings were like $5 and bracelets $7 each.

I learned about Bic Bands from Mama Laughlin (also a favorite, she's awesome, check her out!) and have to say, totally worth the $12. I generally can't wear these, they slide right off my head but this, this stays in place. I had it on ALL day and never had to reposition it. The one I've got on is a minnie.

I've been using scafs to camofloge my chubs. I've always had a pretty big collection, but since I've been pleasantly plump, my collection had grown and possibly a bit out of hand. So I made this little scarf secion in our closet behind the door... the Scarf Mahal.

Those are command hooks holding up a tension rod. I originally purchased a larger curtain rod with decoratie wall mounts, but then realized I was hammering into the wall that the plumbing for the shower was on and got a little scared I'd hit a pipe. So, I reevaluated and went with the command hook option. Not as nice, but it works.

Happy freaking friday!

Weigh In Wednesday

Here it is, 170.8! So that's a 1.4 loss from last Wednesday and 5.2 lbs total, for those counting.

I have to be honest, I haven't been very good about not weighing myself every single morning. That lasted for like a day.

I should be more than happy by the number, however, because I weigh daily, I know I was 166.6 (creepy!) on Monday morning and 169 yesterday. So how the heck and why am I gaining the weight back?!!?

I've been doing good on the low-carb kick and even did a pure protein day yesterday, thinking I'd get back to that 166 today.

I did start eating these low-carb tortillas from Target and ate five of them yesterday with my protein. They were just so good. So I'm going to re-do the protein day today and leave out the tortillas. Sucks.

Regardless, I'm happy I'm loosing weight sans exercise. I still havent found made the time to do that.

I did put the Hubs hot on the case to find the 30-day Shred DVD. So hopeful when that resurfaces, Jullian Michaels and I will be all BFF for the next 30 days.

In other news, Mr. Mister is SEVEN months old today! I snapped this photo while I was running out the door this morning. Sweet faux hawk, huh? I've got skills, what can I say.

Mr. Mister

Who is Mr. Mister? Well, it's not the band, but my A-dorable son.

The hubs and I started calling him that early on. I have no idea why, maybe because he looked like a little old man as a infant, but somewhere in the sleep-deprived days of maternity leave, it stuck.

It is mostly used in the context of, "Why are you so fussy, Mr. Mister?" or "What are you doing Mr. Mister?"and we don't actually refer to him in a, "Hey what time did Mr. Mister eat last?" kind of way.

But for the purposes of this blog, he's Mr. Mister because I think it's funny. His real name is Lucas by the way.

Here are some of my favorite pics of the little guy...

The end.

Weekend Recap

Had to work Saturday morning. Womp, womp. This is crazy buget time at work so that requires meetings on non-reg work days. Womp, womp again.

It was from 8 - noon so I got a little bit of a break from the budget woes to go pump for Mr. Mister. Here's a pic of me with some super sweet trophies. I had to borrow a class room to fire up the pump.

After that I headed home and got to get Mr. Mister up from his nap and walked in on this....

Looks like it is time to put the bumpers back on. Anyone else out there scared of the bumpers? I didn't think I was until he started sleeping in there full time and out they came. Now he can roll around just fine, obviously, so I feel ok putting them back in. But honestly, still a little nervous.

He and I then headed out for a little shopping while the hubs went up to help his dad out with some guy stuff (read tools, building/fixing things).

I finally got some more powder. I've been working with crumbs (see below) for WEEKS. I love Estee Lauder's double wear, it's got great coverage and my sun-damaged age spot face needs the coverage. Trust.

I'll tell you what I don't love, apparently I now get less for the same price. I thought it looked smaller so I checked the info on the back and sure enough, shame on you Estee Lauder!

It was gift with purchase time, so I don't feel too ripped off. I snagged this sweet bag that contains eyeshadows, lotion, lipstick and a few other things that I can't remember.

I looked for some new work clothes, but am still not happy with how I look in stuff to spend any money on things. I bought an outfit but after re-trying it on after I got home with it, I decided I don't like it and going to return it. I'm super good at returns, like the best ever. Bet you didn't even know you could be 'good' at that.

Sunday was a lazy morning and I caved on my no coffee and artificial sweetener rule. I justified it (I'm also good at that) by thinking that if that was the worst I was going to do once a week, then I was still doing pretty darn good. Gotta live a little.

So I guess it was my 'cheat day' and I had some oatmeal and a delicious cup of coffee. But I used stevia instad of splenda. Well, the Wal-Mart off-brand Stevia. It's all natural at least (justification numer 2).

Mr. Mister is also working on his FIRST two teeth and Sunday was the first time I've seen them start to poke through. He wears a Baltic Amber teething necklace (such the wannabe hippy), and he's really not been too fussy over it and absolutely no drool. I'd chalk that up to a win for the necklace and all my family members can stop giving me shit over it.

Ened the day/weekend with some cooking (WHAT?! So not like me) and I made zucchini lasagna with shredded checken. I'm a huge pinner (HUGE) and kept seeing all these pins on about how you can shred check with a mixer.

Well, after reading the deets, it's with a Kitchaid stand mixer. One of those mega, couple hundy bucks mixers. We don't have one of those, but I love shredded chicken and am too lazy to manually do it so I gave the hand mixer a try and it worked! You're welcome.

I could NOT sleep when the big 'ol 10 p.m. rolled around, this is my normal bedtime unless I fall asleep earlier on the couch while watching smut TV on the DVR. So this not sleeping thing is so unlike me. I'm a good sleeper and can still sleep just about anywhere, anytime.

So at about 11 p.m. I grab my phone and look through IG pics. I notice a post from @hollystanfiled of Where We Can Live Like Jack and Sally about DietBet.

I did a post on it last night after I signed up, but wanted to mention it here again. You can still sign up and the pot is getting bigger. Basically you pay $15, 4 weeks long, loose 4% or more of your starting weight, you win. Winners split the pot.

That's some motivation if you ask me. So I signed up and you should too, but hurry! Game starts March  6, game on!

I finally feel asleep around 1 a.m. and Mr. Mister woke me up at 3:50 a.m. to eat and guess who couldn't get back to sleep. It wasn't the baby! SO EFFING MAD!

Now off to work, where I'm going to need some serious motivation and/or caffeine to stay awake.

Stealing From a Baby

So for lunch I added in a fruit, yay! Only problem was we didn't have any. Being the problem solver that I am, I stole a nice blend of apples and blueberries from Mr. Mister's stash!

For the record, it was just ok. The rest of my lunch - baked chicken, squash and low-sugar tomato sauce - was delicious.

Friday MILF Update

The MILF Project isn't all about getting skinny, so much more goes into it. Like hair, lack there of hair, nails, a good tan, styling clothes, awesome accessories and so much more. This is hard work.

So today I aided my journey with a consultation with a laser hair removal place.

First, I'd like to give a shout-out to Groupon for making this possible. That shit is expensive!  I picked up a sweet groupon deal for like a $150 bucks and without it, it would have cost me over $700 - say WHAT?! Yeah, totally wouldn't be doing this without the Groupon, I thought that was a lot of money.

Today was just the consultation and I'm getting my underarms done. I go back in a week for my first treatment, which she described as a hot rubber band hitting your skin. Awesome, can't wait.

I was impressed with the place. Have to admit, I was worried it was going to be some sort of shady office since they offered the way cheap deal, but turns out, nice place and totally legit.

The consultation lady was super nice, she told me I couldn't wear tight shirts to workout in after treatment. I thought to myself, "Oh how lovely are you? You think I workout and can pull off tight shirts!"

In the awesome accessory department, I have been loving GroupDealz. Super cute stuff, good price, mailed right to my house and they have new stuff every. single. day. Good for my accessory collection and MILF Project, but bad for my bank account.

I just recently found this site and have ordered quite a bit (I just can't help myself ), but am still waiting on it to arrive. I'll let you know what I think about quality and such when I start to get it in (haha, I said get it in again, thank you Jersey Shore).

Also, because it's Friday, I decided to stop at good old Starbucks on my way in to work. I LOVE Starbucks, not their coffee, gross, but give me a soy latte and I'm in love. I'm still on the decaf train thanks to Mr. Mister. I mean, I drink some here and there, but when there 's an option, I get decaf.

Just so you know, that cup is splenda free. I almost had a weak moment, but I stayed strong and walked past those little yellow packets of pure deliciousness.

Happy Friday all.

PS- Notice how I have failed to mention anything about exercise in the past few posts? Well that's because I have failed for an entire WEEK now. But this weekend, it's on!
